As a specialist it is required that we are in front and can break new ground.

Through our research we gain new knowledge we can use in our work. We have had several projects for the oil and gas industry on measuring techniques for multiphase flow. We also had several major research projects related to the monitoring of contaminants to the environment. Application of Optics and Acoustics has been central to these works. We have also contributed to the other's R&D projects to develop new concepts and products. Our work has often been development of new methods calculations and analysis.

What we do best is Analysis.

 

From a good analysis it is often easy to get correct and economical conclusions. For our analysis to be good enough we often use the very best of advanced computer program for numerical computation and statistical analysis. We use CFD for numerical simulation of Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics. The most advanced programs for statistical analysis we use are called Multivariate Analysis.

We also have extensive experience in analyzing measurement data from processes and systems. When the project requires it, we develop new methods, computer programs and tools.

ANALYSIS

Measurements are one of our specialties. This is often the most secure method to obtain accurate and economical solutions.

 

We do most kind of measurements and analysis for Buildings, construction, process plants, industry, offshore. We have a well equipped assortment of modern and sophisticated instruments. Especially exciting includes: Fire experiments in full scale in underground vehicle tunnels, furnace measurements at several Norwegian plants, Multiphase Flow in Trecate in Italy, Gas in Colorado USA and condensate at Kårstø.

 

We also have extensive experience in laboratory work. We perform measurements on models to test principles and solutions. We have experience with everything from large wind tunnels to microscope. Often we need to create models, sensors, electronics and computer program ourselves. For this we have our own workshop and advanced instruments.

MEASUREMENTS

Our assignments often consist of finding new and better solutions.

 

We therefore often participates in research projects with other companies.

Smaller R&D activities are usually part of our counseling.

 

Larger significant R&D projects which we have achieved successes are:

 

SPG - Separator Profile Gauger, Collaboration with Sensorteknikk AS, Tested and approved by Statoil offshore

 

WFA - Well Flow Analysis, Collaboration with Sensorteknikk AS, Tested and approved by Agip in Italy.

 

FPS - Fluid Purity Sensor, collaboration with Sensorteknikk AS, Tested and approved by OSL Gardermoen.

 

Not least should be mentioned that there is also provided a significant research work in the doctor degree of Terje Toften.
